Marble staircases have been used for thousands of years to create a luxurious and precious designer finish to a building. Marble is a practical hard wearing material that adds a sense of class to a property and has been known to increase values and create a visually appealing focal point. Architects often specify Marble to enhance a project due to its known ease of application and desirability.
Marble is a classic material that can be used to create modern and timeless Staircases that are suitable for both public buildings and residential applications alike.
White Marble Staircases
Although Marble is available in a range of Cream, Beige, yellow and even Green colours, White Marble is by far the most preferred and sought after material. We own and quarry white Marble from our own deposits in Kenya, whilst also importing from around the world to give our customers the choice of materials possible. Locally quarried Marble tends to be very popular as our quarry has a light rich white background colour with subtle grey and coloured random veining.
Imported Marble staircases
As Marble is a naturally occurring material, we import materials from around the world that are not available locally, such as cream and green. Imported materials are not superior to locally quarried Kenyan Marble stone technically, however visually they are different which makes them suitable for different projects and applications.
Marble needs to be installed by a skilled technician and finished with professional machinery. Due to the craftsmanship required to properly appreciate the beauty of this material, offer a full supply and installation service if required.
Cleaning Marble staircases
Marble is a relatively easy, low maintenance material that is easy to keep clean. Marble should be cleaned with soap and water only and should not be cleaned with any harsh bleach products as this could stain the material and leave permanent markings. In some commercial applications, it is possible to apply a sealer on the Marble to make it more resilient to bacteria and staining.
Kenyan White Marble
Kenya has beautiful naturally occurring white marble which has a rich white background with random grey and coloured veining.
