The Risers are carefully manufactured to colour match the threads and cut to the specific height required. This systematic scientific approach to Terrazzo staircases ensures each step is the correct height and thickness which is very difficult to achieve with in-situ Terrazzo.
A nonslip layer is cut into reach staircase tread to ensure safety is optimised. Although several techniques can be used to achieve a non-slip Terrazo tile surface, our most popular finish is a Slip-resistant carborundum insert or horizontal grooves cut into the thread.
